How to Be Involved In Camp Now

Whether you have spent forty years at Greystone or just a few weeks, you are a part of our alumnae community and have a place here.

But what does that look like? How can an alum be involved in camp right now? There are so many ways, and these are just a few!

• Follow us online or join a group. We post regularly on Facebook, Instagram, and the Greystone Blog. Follow us to see all of the latest news and updates all year long! You can also join our Alumnae group, Parents group, or one of our growing Facebook city groups to connect with Greystone friends around the country.
• Fill out our Alumnae Update Form. This is the place to update your contact information, tell us about your camp reunions, brag on yourself or a friend, or let us know how you want to be involved at camp in the future. We’ll be using the information gathered here in lots of ways moving forward! (You also can win a grab bag of Greystone shirts for filling it out; read more about that here!)
• Refer a staff member or consider working at Junior Camp! This article gives all the details, but we’re issuing an invitation for you to join our staff recruiting team (and offering some great gifts if you do!). Or you can join fellow alumnae to come back and serve on our Junior Camp Program Staff. It’s the fastest, most fun week of the summer - for more information!
• Contribute to the Great Day Fund. Our scholarship fund paves the way for all girls to attend Greystone, no matter their financial needs. Your donation, large or small, will make an impact!
• “Adopt” a Greystone staff member next summer. 2022 was our second year running this program, and it has become a favorite part of our summers! We match up alumnae with our full summer staff to write to and pray for as they do this important work. Interested? Check the “support our summer staff” box on the Alumnae Update Form or

• Help out on Opening and Closing Days. Our new procedures require more people than ever to pull them off, and last year we loved having alumnae of all ages return to lend us a hand. Interested in jumping in to help? Read about how it works here and fill out our interest form.
• Talk about Greystone to the people in your life or tell us your stories. Word of mouth is our most powerful recruiting tool for campers and staff, and you, as alums, are our best spokespeople! Do you have a great camp story to tell? Use our Alumnae Update Form or to let her know.
• Contribute to our Daily Devotions. Every day we post a new devotion written by former campers, counselors, and alums just like you. We’re always looking for new authors to encourage our Greystone community! Interested? for more details.
• Stay in touch and stop by to visit! You have an open invitation to reach out to any of us at any time - we would love to catch up, answer your questions, or hear your ideas. Will you be driving through the area? Stop by to say hi and walk around camp! Just let one of us know you’re coming so that we can be ready for you.
• Pray for and with us. We’re concluding with this because it may be the one we value the most! At Greystone, we believe in the power of prayer and know that God is already at work as we prepare for next summer. Pray for our 2023 campers, staff, and parents, pray for our staff recruiting efforts, and pray for our Head Staff as we make decisions and plans for the year ahead.
