If you’re anything like us, by this time of the year you’ve had about enough of the real world, and you’re starting to yearn for the simple routines of camp. We’re here to help!

You may not be waking up to bugles anymore with your friends all around you, but that doesn’t mean you have to be out of The Bubble entirely! We’re coming to you today with our best tips for incorporating just a little bit of camp into your school routine - see if they don’t bring a smile to your day.

  1. All those great camp pictures you love so much? Put them all over your notebooks! Wouldn’t History just be so much better if you could see your counselor and cabinmates every time you opened your notebook? Paste them with abandon!
  2. Bring some camp food for lunch. Looking for inspiration? Check out our post on camp inspired school lunches! The taste will take you right back to singing Happy Am I at your favorite table in the Dining Hall.
  3. Need a little bit of encouragement before a big test or presentation? Pin that patch you worked so hard to on the inside of your backpack. Every time you peek inside, you’ll be reminded of what you accomplished this summer and everything you are capable of!
  4. Make your locker a place that makes you smile every time you open it. Fill it with stickers, Bible verses from favorite devotions, and those plane letters that you read every day. It may not be your bunk, but it’s your home base, so go camp-crazy!
  5. Re-frame your thinking. Bells? Classes? Lunch? Your school day may not be that different from camp after all. Dig deep into those Breakfast Club skills and tap into that Physical, Social, Mental, and Spiritual Growth. Smile, say hello, cultivate an interest in your classes, and look to Jesus through it all. This year is an opportunity to grow, just like camp!
