My name is Sarah Catherine and I’m a freshman at Clemson University from Nashville, Tennessee. I have always wanted to spend the summer at Greystone but was never able to attend as a camper, so as a staff member I’m sort of fulfilling my childhood dream. I’ve done gymnastics since I was little and then switched to cheer for middle and high school, so I’m so excited to teach cheer/gymnastics/tumbling. I am super high energy and I love organized games/events. I cannot wait to grow in my faith and be surrounded by such an encouraging, loving, and fun community this summer!!!
Personal Interests: I love to be involved and helping plan events and activities. I love spike ball, board games, cards, coffee dates, and anything surrounding the water.
When I have an hour of free time, I like to… watch grey’s anatomy, lose myself scrolling on Instagram, walk around campus, or bike through my neighborhood.
Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I grew up on a farm with chickens and I got a new bunny every year for Easter. I also am a huge math nerd and was on the QuizBowl team in high school.
The one thing that makes any day better: a surprise text or lil happy because I feel all warm and fuzzy that someone is thinking about me.
The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… ALL OF IT (this is my first time at camp, but everyone I know sings its praises).
Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: Fairy Hair & disposable camera
My go-to pump up song: My-Shot from Hamilton
The best book I’ve read this year: Educated by Tara Westover
My guilty pleasure: looking for deals on Poshmark
The most famous person I’ve met is… Thomas Rhett Akins
My favorite cheesy joke: What did the sushi say to the bee? WASABEE
I wanted to work at Greystone because… I have always wanted to be a camper at Greystone and I just love the entire atmosphere of camp. I have heard so many good things about the Christian community at Greystone that I just had to experience it for myself.
The best thing about camp will be.. getting to meet so many new girls who are going to be a better follower of Christ. I am also looking forward to all of the camp wide activities.
