8 years as a camper

1st year on staff

I’m a senior at Florida State University studying International Affairs and Economics. Camp has been my Grandfather’s second home as he was the sailing instructor. My Mother’s second home as a camper for 10 years, and has been mine since I was 7 years old. This amazing place has given me so much over the years and I am so very excited to see what I can give back and what new things I can learn from the Lord, my fellow counselors, and my campers.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

Personal Interests: Cooking, art, nature, traveling, volunteering, reading biographies, golf, anf tennis.

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Spend time in my studio, settle in with a good book, or tend to my garden.

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I LOVE arcade and carnival games.

The one thing that makes any day better: Coffee with friends and a Jack Johnson song.

Best camp tradition? Sunday Mornings and Council Fire

Favorite Evening Program? Game night or Protect your Counselor

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… A whole tomato with Gervais standing in the Kitchen.

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: Sunscreen and my crazy creek.

My go-to pump up song: Comeback Kid by Brett Dennen

The best book I’ve read this year: Becoming by Michelle Obama

My guilty pleasure: I hate to admit it but Dr. Pimple Popper videos.

The most famous person I’ve met is… Josh Gad

My favorite cheesy joke: How come you never see elephants hiding in trees?… because they are good at it.

I wanted to work at Greystone because… Since I was little Greystone has been the most sincere place for me and it taught me how to be 100% myself. I would love to be able to share my knowledge with campers so that they may realize how special they really are.

The best thing about camp will be.. The joy, simplicity, and peace that is udderly present inside the Greystone bubble… especially after the craziness of 2020.
