Vuyelwa Michaela Mzilikazi

Knitting/Crocheting/Needlepoint

1st year on staff

Hi! I’m Vuyelwa, and this will be my first summer at Camp Greystone! I’ve worked at camps before, and camp has become such a special place for me it’s where I’ve learned the importance of community, joy, and being fully present. I’m so excited to be part of the Greystone family this summer, meet new people, and make meaningful memories with campers and fellow counselors!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”- Proverbs 3:5–6

A few things I love: laughter,camp sunsets,creativity

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… journal, listen to music,cook/bake,

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I’m a big overthinker!

The one thing that makes any day better: a kind conversation,a good laugh

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… S’mores

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: a journalist,a good water bottle, running shoes

The song that describes me: “Gratitude” Brandon Lake

My favorite cheesy joke: Why don’t eggs tell jokes? Because they’d crack each other up

At camp, I’ll be the one… Cheering people on, listening, and encouraging others

Come find me if… You need someone to talk to or just want to laugh

I wanted to work at Greystone because… Greystone’s focus on faith, community, and joy really aligns with who I am, and I was drawn to the intentional way campers and counselors are supported.

The best thing about camp will be… The relationships — with campers, counselors, and the memories we create together.
