8 years as a camper

1st year on Staff

I’m Natalie and I’m a freshman at Samford University. I’m a long-time camper, first year staffer, and huge fan of Greystone! I love all things crafts, all things music, and all things camp! Some of my hobbies are sewing, scrapbooking, and playing the bagpipes, and I’ll be teaching ceramics and photography this summer! I can’t wait to see everyone, here’s to the best summer ever!

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23

A few things I love: Jesus, all things creative, my family, my dog, and my friends

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… talk to my friends or work on one of my craft projects

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I play the bagpipes!

The one thing that makes any day better: a good DMC

Best camp tradition? Closing Vespers

Favorite Evening Program? Sunday concerts

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… Bread Pudding!

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: my journal and pictures of my friends

The song that describes me: Where Can I Go - Psalm 139 by Ellie Holcomb

** My favorite cheesy joke:** “hair spray,” one of Jimboy’s best

At camp, I’ll be the one… singing along to all the Dining Hall songs!

Come find me if… you want to talk about fashion, crafts, music, or just want a DMC!

I wanted to work at Greystone because… I wanted to give back to a place that has meant so much to me over the years, and help encourage and love campers to grow the way I was by my counselors.

The best thing about camp will be… Getting to know everyone and spending time together glorifying the Lord!
