12 Years as a Camper

1st Year on Staff

Hey y’all, I’m Lula. Camp is my favorite place in the world and I am so excited to be working this summer. As a camper, some of my favorite memories were with my counselors and I can’t wait to be joining them.

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”- Proverbs 17:22

A few things I love: Chewing Ice, History, Listening to Music

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Read a book or take a nap.

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I can make a pretty good friendship bracelet fairly quickly.

The one thing that makes any day better: Breakfast Club

Best camp tradition? Singing slow songs during Sunday lunch.

Favorite Evening Program? Production Night

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… Poppyseed chicken

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: My “personal reservoir” of a water bottle.

The song that describes me: It’s a Great Day to be Alive- Travis Tritt

My favorite cheesy joke: Complimentary Peanuts

At camp, I’ll be the one… Lugging around my exceedingly large water bottle full of ice.

Come find me if… You are up for a long, in-depth conversation about seemingly random and unconnected topics.

I wanted to work at Greystone because… Greystone has been an important part of my life for a long time and I’m not quite ready to let it go. I want to be able to imbue my enthusiasm for this place into future campers.

The best thing about camp will be… Being back at my home away from home for more than five weeks.
