10 years as a camper

2nd year on staff

Hey y’all! I’m Emslie, and I go to Belmont University, where I am studying interior design and political science. In my sophomore year, I’ve loved solidifying my community through RUF, my sorority, interior design, my church, and other areas of life! I am overjoyed to be returning to camp again this summer and continue to pour into others the way Greystone people have poured into me!

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” - Romans 5:1-11

A few things I love: Cheese and pickles, running, reading, motorsports, traveling, anything design-related, and spending time with my family and friends!

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Call my family

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I’m a Staff Kid!

The one thing that makes any day better: Cheese

Best camp tradition? Closing Vespers

Favorite Evening Program? Sunday Night Concerts, always.

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… The Lake Edith catfish Mr. Mike catches

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: My Founding Father costume

I wanted to work at Greystone because… Greystone has fundamentally shaped my life and my family’s lives.

The best thing about camp will be… Getting to serve these girls for another summer!
