Make it a One-Day Reunion: Work an Opening or Closing Day!
It’s the easiest “camp reunion” you’ll ever plan - show up for one magical day, help make memories, and laugh your way through it all with your Greystone friends…old and new! Join us for one of our Opening or Closing Days this summer - you won’t regret it.
Each summer, we welcome big groups of alumnae back to camp, and it is a blast for these groups to help with one of our Opening and Closing Days (and is a huge help to us as well!). If your heart beats a little faster when you hear “Bunk Run” or you remember the thrill of waiting in that long line after pulling in the front gates of camp (many moons ago), this opportunity is for you.
Why it’s so fun:
- Mini-reunion energy. Many alums come with friends and make a day of it a Greystone t-shirt, hugs, happy tears…the works. But even if you come solo, you’ll meet and greet with many other alums who join us for the day - it’s great!
- Feel the buzz. Smiles everywhere, music playing, the whole place excited for the start or close of the session - it’s pure Greystone joy.
- You really do make the magic. Extra hands mean smoother lines, calmer parents, and campers who start (or end) their session with that great Greystone feeling; help make that a reality for girls this summer!
What you’ll do:
We’ll send around your assignment before you arrive, but here’s a preview of some different roles:
- Wavers with pompoms as you provide that first Greystone smile
- Luggage movers or taggers to help on the logistical side of things
- Traffic coordinators and “you’ve got this!” encouragers
- Photo-op takers to provide that first memory of the summer
- Medication triage helpers to ease those first day jitters
When & how to sign up
- We’ll post the Opening & Closing Day volunteer sign-ups through the blog in the spring. Watch for that post and snag a slot for June, Main, or August Camp help.
- Dates are already live on our website; go ahead and pencil in a day on your calendar for the summer (text some camp friends to join you!)

Quick FAQs
Do I need experience? Nope, we’ll brief you when you arrive and train you on what to do.
Can I come solo? Absolutely, but inviting a cabinmate turns it into an instant reunion.
What if I can only help a few hours? That’s great; we only need you for a few hours! You usually work from 8:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. We’ll get you out of here by lunchtime.
