Lake Forest, IL

5 years as a camper

2nd year on staff

To return and become reconnected with Greystone has been a blessing for me. I cannot wait to be back at camp! As an adult and mother of 4, my time at Greystone has given me the opportunity to pause the daily hustle at home and allow me to witness God’s work on myself and those around me. Greystone has also allowed me to discover what I enjoy most: making a positive impact on our children and younger generation. I am excited to meet new campers and staff, engage in DMCs, and re-enter the bubble where the smiles are infectious and friendships are a plenty.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…” Jeremiah 29:11

Things that I love: Time spent with my husband and children, basketball and March Madness, attending church service, time spent outdoors

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Play with my kids, mountain bike or rollerblade

Best camp tradition? Council Fire

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: Daily devotions book and a photo of my family

The one thing that makes any day better: Laughter and time spent with friends

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… Salad bar!

My favorite dad joke: What is the best time to go to the dentist? Tooth-irty

My go-to pump up song: Can’t stop this feeling

Favorite childhood book: If Jesus Came to my House by Joan G. Thomas

My lovey (favorite stuffed animal, blanket, etc.) growing up was a…. I don’t recall having one…

I wanted to work at Junior Camp because… I wanted to return to Greystone and it was the most suitable amount of time I could be away from home and work. The length of junior camp has given me the opportunity to return to my true “Home”

The best thing about camp will be… I can’t limit this to one thing! Top four: Cheering on the campers as their cars arrive for drop-off… seeing so many smiles each day… teaching the girls how to believe in themselves (and play soccer!), morning devotions with fellow staff
