Katherine Robinson

University of the South - Sewanee

7 years as a camper

4th year on staff

This is a HUGE year for me!! Both of my children graduate from college and high school in May, and oh no, I turn the big 5-0 at the end of April. I can’t think of a better way to stay young and refill my empty nest than to head back to Greystone for the summer. Until then, you can find me selling houses, working for my newly elected county councilman, or planning a party. We always have a lot to celebrate around here. Fun fact - I am celebrating my big birthday by going to California to see the Orcas migrating up the coast. It’s a whale of a birthday for sure (pun intended!)

“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Personal Interests: Spending time with family and friends

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Sit on my back porch with my dogs

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I’m an open book - if you know me, you know all of me!!!

The emoji that describes me: The lady with her head in her hands for sure

The one thing that makes any day better: My Brittany spaniel “Doc” - he thinks I am the most amazing human

Best camp tradition? I just love Flag

Favorite Evening Program? Battle of the Bands last summer will go down in the history books

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… all of it!! Best part of my summer is not having to grocery shop or cook or wash dishes

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: A fan

My go-to pump up song: Life is Precious - Wes King

My guilty pleasure: Ice cream

I wanted to work at Greystone because… it fills my bucket in ways the outside world can’t.

The best thing about camp will be… all the little unexpected, unplanned moments
