Program Director
This is a big-picture leadership role with plenty of hands-on execution and management, best suited to an experienced candidate with relevant experience. The Program Director will spend the offseason shaping the future of Greystone’s program, developing new ideas, evaluating our classes and activities, planning for staffing needs, and making sure all of the pieces are in place for a successful summer.
Then, when summer arrives, the Program Director will work alongside our leadership staff, supporting Department Heads, developing seasonal staff, solving problems, overseeing program areas, and making sure our campers’ activity experiences are safe, fun, and growth-filled.
The right candidate can dream big, data-driven dreams while attending to the small details that keep camp running smoothly. The Program Director is a strategic thinker who can plan five years down the road but is also on top of the minutiae, making sure the equipment is ordered, the facilities are prepared, the schedules are ready, and staff have what they need for tomorrow.
This person will spend their days developing people, building relationships, solving complex problems, flexing their data-whiz skills, and using their creativity. They will oversee program development and scheduling, seasonal staff hiring and training, Department Head development, program safety, facilities and equipment, budgeting, and more.
They will work closely with our Staff Director, Maintenance Director, Riding Director, and the rest of our year-round team to ensure communication is strong and all parts of camp program and staff management are running smoothly.
We are looking for a dynamic, relational leader who is organized, proactive, collaborative, analytical, humble, and passionate about the way activities contribute to Greystone’s mission. The ideal candidate takes initiative, stays ahead of their work, welcomes feedback, and isn’t afraid to jump in and get their hands dirty to solve problems and pull camp off.

This is a full-time, year-round role with significant leadership responsibilities. The Program Director will be based out of the camp office during the year and will live on camp property during the summer.
