At Camp Greystone, we love creating meaningful moments, and our summer puppies are always a special part of that magic. This past summer we welcomed a litter of seven sweet and playful pups who quickly became a favorite part of camp life. They charmed every staff member and camper, and now they are settling into happy homes with their new families.

Say hello again to our 2025 Puppies: Reuben (now Kirby), Ruby (now Hazel), Maple, Red, Ginger (also known as Sister), and Scarlett. These seven filled camp with joy from the moment they arrived. They brought energy, affection, and plenty of silly puppy antics, and it has been so fun to watch their little personalities grow with their new families. We are excited to share more of their journey with you.

Kirby

• Camp Name: Rueben
• Name Now: Kirby
• Weight: 21lb
• Favorite things to do: Play outside, chew toys, get his tummy rubbed, go for a ride, being with people, watching Georgia football
• Favorite treats: Beef Cheek Rolls, peanut butter, lick mats
• Favorite way to cause mischief: Chewing blankets, trying to eat socks, sprints away with anything “illegal” he gets
• Any new tricks? Opening bedroom doors, being patient

Hazel

• Camp Name: Ruby
• Name now: Hazel
• Weight: 20lbs
• Favorite things to do: curl up and snuggle in any lap she can find, roll over for belly rubs, say hi to other dogs when out for a walk, running to fetch toys
• Favorite treat: ice chips and frozen pupsicle treats
• Favorite way to cause mischief: After losing her puppy teeth and not needing to chew as much, she really isn’t a mischief maker! She is the snuggliest dog ever and we think it’s because she loved all of the campers giving her love every day at Dog Camp!
• Any new tricks? Here/come, place, sit, wait

Maple

• Camp name: Maple
• Current name: Maple
• Weight: 17lbs
• Favorite things to do: Pretend to be a person. Maple tries to sit at the dining room table in a chair and have a conversation with her humans. She loves to try to eat shadow puppets on the wall during our nightly game time. Sleeping on Coco’s head. Following Nova around the house, constantly tripping her. And sunbathing on the couch.
• Favorite treat: Oncloud shoes! And she loves her peanut butter pacifier Kong.
• Favorite way to cause mischief: Eating Nova’s toy dinosaurs, stealing socks and dining on the finest designer shoes she find.
• New tricks? Sit, up, lay down, shake and kisses.

We just LOVE her so much. She is the absolute best puppy in the world. We are so grateful for her and all the joy she brings to our lives. We just had a photo shoot with her!

Red

• Camp name: Red
• Current name: Red, but also often referred to as Red Bud, Red Baby, Sir Reddington Beasley, Muppet, and Fried Chicken Bud (when he’s particularly floofy right before a visit to the groomer and he sorta looks like fried chicken).
• Weight: 26 lbs
• Favorite things to do: Loves a belly rub, wrestling with his basset hound brother, hoarding allllll the toys, chasing balls in the backyard.
• Favorite treat: Kong stuffed with frozen pumpkin and yogurt. “Water Cookies” (small ice chips, as most people call them), bully sticks.
• Favorite way to cause mischief: Leaping an astonishingly long distance from one couch to the other. Digging giant holes in the backyard.
• New tricks? Sit, down, shake, come, kisses and using his paw to push human hands to precisely the spot that he would like to be petted). He also has the BEST sploot ever.

He is a goofy floofy treasure and we adore him. Thanks so much!!!!

Sister

• Camp name: Most everyone adopted Sister right away, she was born Ginger.
• Name now: Sister
• Weight: 24lbs
• Favorite things to do: Eat fabric, play with Coach, get a good scratch
• Favorite treat: lamb bites
• Favorite way to cause mischief: nibble on comforters, pillows, and wrapping paper!
• Any new tricks? She is so good at listening to “off”, “sit”, “up”, “go”, getting better at “lay”.

Scarlett

• Camp name: Scarlett
• Name now: Scarlett
• Weight: 20lbs
• Favorite things to do: Lie on her back and get her tummy rubbed. Play with our son’s dog, Charlie, Greystone Dog Camp 2016.
• Favorite treat: Any treat!
• Favorite way to cause mischief: Grabs anything we leave on the floor, socks, shoes, dirty clothes, and runs with it. Has zoomies and jumps from couch to chair and chair to chair.
• Any new tricks: She can almost stand on her back legs without grabbing with her front legs.

We were able to visit Greystone for Thanksgiving and when we took her to the Dog Camp barn, she went right to her crate and laid down outside of it. She as been a great dog who is great with people and kids. After losing our Greystone Lab, Lucy (2012), we were afraid we could never get a dog we loved as much. The bar had been set very high! Scarlett has certainly lived up to the challenge.
