Behind the Scenes of Our 2022 Fall Staff Recruiting Trips
This fall found us back out on the road, traveling in the southeast and beyond to see old staff members and meet new ones.
We stopped by Furman, Wofford, UVA, UNC, Samford, Auburn, Montreat, Wake Forest, SMU, TCU, Baylor, Rice, and more, going to coffee shops and college fairs and everywhere in between. Needless to say, we have been busy and it has been SO much fun!
Getting to catch up with our staff friends and meet more has been a highlight of our fall, so today, we’re taking you along with us and sharing some of the highlights of our fall travels.
We’ve put away our suitcases for now, but we’ll be back on the road again in the spring! If you are dying for Anne Hayden to visit you, and let her know. We just might be coming to a city near you in 2023!
The superlatives:
- Wake Forest: The school where we saw the most people (new counselors AND old friends)! Go Deacs.
- Rice University: The farthest we traveled this fall and the MOST stunning campus.
- UNC Chapel Hill: these best Frozen yogurt ever with counselors!
- Samford University: The best recruiting event we attended. We love Samford’s camp day so much, we might just be going back in the spring!
- Montreat College: Where we met the most NEW friends.
- RUF fall conferences: the most enthusiastic group of students! At fall con we get to talk to multiple schools at once, right in our own back yard. There is no better place to talk about how great camp is than at camp, in the Fort, overlooking the lake!
- TCU: The best surprise run in with some senior campers - shoutout Macy and Libbie!
By the numbers:
- 33 different schools
- 6 different states
- 5 weeks of travel
- 1 darling Texan rental car
We loved getting to meet new friends this fall and reconnect with familiar faces.
