5 years as a camper

1st year on staff

My name is Liz Burnet and I am from Amelia Island Florida. I am a freshman at Ole Miss and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Going to Greystone really helped me grow as a person and helped me trust in faith as a go through life. I am thrilled to be back in the Greystone atmosphere and ready to surround the campers with love!

“Be on your guard; stand firm in faith; be courageous; be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Be outside. When I have a free second in my day, I love to go on walks, runs, or just sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Best camp tradition? I love the Banquet. The Banquet is super special because it is the last night with your cabin and you are really able to come together as a whole and look back on the summer in such a special way. I also always loved the decorations in the dining hall.

Favorite Evening Program? The color run. Great way to bond with cabin and it’s a really cool idea.

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me…. My bible.

Something you wouldn’t guess about me… I still have a blankey that I use every night to sleep.

Last book I read… Evicted by Matthew Desmond

Three words to describe yourself: Positive, adaptable, and compassionate

Hidden talent? I love to paint!

The best thing about camp will be… Seeing a camper smile from something I did.
