Everywhere you look this time of year there’s talk of resolutions and how we’re going to make 2019 the best year yet. ’Tis the season, but did you know that 31% of people ditch their resolutions after two weeks? Two weeks!

But Greystone Girls know that growth isn’t confined to January. We’re living that Breakfast Club mindset all year long!

We love giving up our phones in the summer, but let’s be real, you have your phone by your side all day the rest of the year, right? I know I do! So let’s use technology to our advantage.

We’ve rounded up our favorite apps that will help you grow spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically all year long! Let’s use these phones for GOOD this year - are you with us?

Do you have favorite apps that didn’t make our list? Share them with us in the comments!

  • Daily Devotion apps like She Reads Truth, Proverbs 31 Ministries, and Thou Art Exalted make a wonderful daily devotion just a click away. It’s almost as good as your counselor’s devos!
  • The Echo Prayer app will help your prayer life. It enables you to keep track of your prayers in one place, reminds you to pray, and even allows you to share your requests with others.
  • Nothing is quite as powerful as scripture, and the YouVersion Bible app is the best we’ve found. Subscribe to a Bible reading plan, compare different translations, and even make notes.
  • Memorize scripture easily with the Verses app. With fun memory games and progress trackers, your Bible memory goals will be a piece of cake. You can even create groups to memorize together - cabin memory verses anyone?

  • No matter where in the world you live, keep in touch with your cabin through apps like WhatsApp, HeyTell, and GroupMe. With features like video chat, voice messaging, and sending pictures and videos, you’ll almost feel like you’re back together.
  • Rabbit allows you and your cabinmates to watch tv shows and movies together and share your reactions in real time. Who’s ready for a movie night?!
  • Music is a huge connector at camp, and you can bring that to the real world with Spotify. Create playlists with your cabinmates and share the songs that make you think of camp with each other. P.S. Make sure to subscribe to our channel!
  • There is truly nothing better than snail mail, and apps like TouchNote and Postagram make it SO easy! Just pick out your favorite camp photo, write a message, and then send it as a postcard all through the app - no trip to the post office necessary.
