A Greystone Girl's Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

Here we are again! Can you believe it’s been another year?

I wish I was writing this during a rainy rest hour, hearing the pitter patter on the tin roof, but I guess you can’t bring me everything! For the record though, more rainy rest hours are always on my list.

First and most importantly: less school, more camp! Or at least, can you speed up time a little bit and make camp come faster? I figure if you can fly around the whole world in one night, speeding up the spring a little bit won’t be too hard.

Other things on my list:

  • Camp bread. Always and forever.
  • An early Chaco tan.
  • To somehow eat a Sunday picnic dinner without spilling pizza sauce all over my whites. Is it possible? The world may never know.
  • For Prom this year to look a lot more like the Carnival Dance Contest. Operation wear wolf shirts to Prom commence.
  • Feeling the same way about my exam grades as I did when our team won Challenge Day. Rah for Math?
  • A visit from camp’s diplomats, MeMe and Murray. My dogs really want to meet them.
  • For Gervais to teach my mom how to make Opening Day Scones. BOTH sweet and savory if you don’t mind!
  • OCP at Christmas dinner instead of Fruitcake. Or just all the time.
  • A personal Thor to warn me when my Principal is coming down the hall.
  • Sleep Late Friday at home (with donuts of course.)

Really what I want the most is a hug from my counselor and to find all my cabin-mates under the tree on Christmas morning. Wrapping paper optional!
