Fish in the Dining Hall

Catching a huge fish with Major Mike and the crew down at Lake Edith is exciting enough. But when the fish gets REALLY big? There’s only one thing to do: parade it through the Dining Hall during dinner! August campers loved seeing the biggest fish of the summer during the meal.

Kicking Off the 4th of July

We knew our celebration of America’s 250th was going to be a good one when Jimboy and his fearless leadership team rowed across the Delaware (also known at camp as Lake Edith) to kick off the day. Add Elizabeth riding in Laura by horse and buggy with the American flag, and we knew it was going to be a 4th of July to remember!

June Camp Disco Night

The decorations. The music. The costumes. There’s just nothing quite like a great themed dinner, and the June Camp Disco Night was a highlight of the summer.

Jimboy Takes on Gymnastics

Our August campers got quite the treat when Jimboy joined them for gymnastics class! He may not have earned his Beginner patch, but he definitely earned points for being a very good sport.

Main Camp Cabin Night

One night, every cabin, planned by their counselors = a hit of the summer! Karaoke, Capture the Flag, pickleball, Party Bus rides, and so much more made for a night full of cabin bonding.

Dressing Like Camp

One of our Main Camp contest winners gave us a dinner we won’t soon forget. Every table was assigned something from camp to dress up as, and the creativity was truly amazing. From the Salad Bar and Patrol to Council Fire, the Apple Cart, Banquet, and s’mores, it was so much fun to see how groups pulled off their ideas. The winner? Taps! This table had one camper asleep on top of the table while everyone else ate underneath - so fun!

Soda Sunday

Sometimes the simplest surprises are the best ones. Another contest-winning idea brought our Main campers sodas to our Sunday night buffet. They were refreshing, unexpected, and a huge hit!

Late Night Movie

Staying up late to enjoy Princess Diaries under the stars with pizza and treats…what could be better?

S’mores

S’mores nights are a favorite every summer for a reason. Cabins gather together to laugh, play games, roast marshmallows, and simply enjoy being together. Camp at its best!

The Pro Fireworks Show

After Corn Roast, we made our way down to the lake for an incredible professional fireworks show. With floating docks, days of setup, and fireworks synchronized to music, the final result was absolutely jaw-dropping.

Bagpipes at Council Fire

For the second year, our pennant presentation at Council Fire once again brought plenty of pageantry. Seeing BL7 staff arrive in their regal garb to the sound of bagpipes already feels like a Greystone classic.

Celebrating Expert and Advanced Campers

We had a record number of campers pass Expert and Advanced levels in their classes this summer. There’s nothing better than watching an entire department gather around the Dining Hall microphone, call a camper’s name, and have her stand on her chair while all of camp celebrates her accomplishment.

Opening Day Arrivals

This moment gets us every time. No matter how many Opening Days we experience, there is something about seeing the cars pull in, girls jump out, and camp suddenly come alive again that makes it in our memory book each year.

The World Cup Finale

We ended our World Cup competition at Main Camp with the ultimate finale on the tennis courts. The top tennis players from all four teams competed in Tennis Olympics while the rest of camp surrounded the courts, cheering them on. It was the perfect way to finish the night.
