What does EVERY camper hope to do at camp? We think about this question all the time and plan each session in such a way that it connects deeply across all ages to provide moments of surprise and delight. It is not easy to surpass what what is often an unspoken expectation, but at camp we are in the business of making dreams come true!
How do we do it?
- GREAT STAFF… We have gathered an amazingly enthusiastically positive staff.
- GREAT Activities… we offer almost 70 classes, each spectacular in their own way.
- Iconic Moments… like swimming at dusk, s’mores at night, crazy “messy” games, cabin dance parties, making a best friend, and team competitions.
June Camp is accomplishing these goals this year.
- Our staff has never connected so deeply in such a short period of time. As parents, you know how important it is to engage your children on their terms. We take a genuine interest in what they are doing, who they are hanging out with, what they think is important, what they think is funny, what they like to eat, and what makes them happy or sad. As we show interest in their world, they invite us in with enthusiasm and joy… but it can be exhausting. A good staff will always celebrate their campers with genuine interest throughout the day (from reveille to taps).
- Our schedule is amazingly well-balanced. A well-structured schedule ensures that campers naturally spread out around camp throughout the day as they attend much-anticipated activities. From day one, we focus on teaching actual skills in a fun and engaging way, providing a well-rounded educational experience. Nowhere is over crowded and there is a mix of large and small classes in every campers schedule.
- Iconic Moments are woven into the fabric of camp and working beautifully. Opening Vespers, Council Fire, Ice Cream Wars, EP Swimming parties, surprise s’mores, birthday parties, tooth fairy visits, and jokes throughout the day provide cherished memories to be celebrated for years to come.
