Are You Ready For This!

It is early Saturday morning, and camp is not quiet… in fact, it is abuzz with the sounds of preparation. The food delivery truck arrived first, unpacking thousands of pounds of provisions for Gervais to transform into feasts. The maintenance crew is cleaning the cabin area, raking the mulch, shoveling the gravel, and blowing the roads (all of which were impacted by the rains last week). We are moving bunks and delivering trunks so each cabin is prepared for each camper. We are cleaning bathrooms, installing new program equipment, and blowing the tennis courts. In short, we are getting ready for the big show!

We pull out all the stops for Main Camp and can not wait to raise the curtain on what promises to be our best camp ever!

Main Camp Celebrates Every Aspect of Greystone:

  • The Tradition… 104 years, 1 family, 1 mission. Kindness, Consistency, Continuity, and Innovation are the hallmarks (a camper from the 50s would recognize the feeling of camp today). Main Campers “get it” better than anyone.
  • The Program… From our many activities to our simple routines, whatever happens at camp truly shines with the Main Campers. Consequently, everything is simply better at Main Camp. Reveille, Flag, Food, Singing, Activities, Concerts, Rest Hour, Shoppe, EP’s, Dance Parties, DMC’s, Taps. Life is lived abundantly is good.
  • The Counselors… We have more counselors this summer than we have ever had at Greystone. These women have dreamed of this moment for most of their lives. Their passion is seen in every corner of camp. Main Campers appreciate Greystone Counselors (which makes the counselors even better)!
  • The Campers… Main campers of all ages share a common vision. All are “camp fanatics.” They “get” camp, entering into every moment with every fiber of their being. This makes every event, every class, every EP, every song in the dining hall, every dance party in the cabin, and EVERY MOMENT better. Your impact is amazing and we can’t wait to ride the tsunami of FUN that you bring!

We can’t wait to welcome you back to your summer home. Opening Day is just around the corner, so rest up and get ready. This is going to be fun!
