Meet Our 2021 Sunday Concert Musicians!

One of the very BEST parts about coming to Main Camp is getting to experience our Sunday night concerts. It is a highlight of the 5-week session! There’s nothing quite like sitting out on our Pageant Court with your best friends singing, laughing, and dancing at the end of the week. We love bringing in talented artists and bands to play for our campers, and we want to introduce you to our 2021 musicians. Check out our 2021 Sunday Concert Spotify playlist to listen to them all in one place!

Sam and Polly Mooney

During the year, we receive so many great musician suggestions from our camp community, and Sam Mooney was a name that had popped up in a few different emails over the past few years. Once we listened to his music online, and talked to him on the phone, we knew we had to snag Sam for a Greystone concert. His wife Polly just happens to also play and sing, so she tagged along with him for the concert – lucky us!

Sam and Polly were the perfect fit for camp. Laid back, young (it’s good to be hip with our high school crowd), funny, and most important….they had a great engagement story (which really is key for our all girls’ camp). We loved their upbeat sound and danceable tunes. Sam hinted about some new things coming during the concert, and we are eagerly awaiting their new music and collaborations. We know our Greystone crew will be ready to jump in when it rolls out!

Ellie and Drew Holcomb

If you’ve been following us for any number of years, you know that we have a long-standing concert relationship with the Holcombs…and boy are we thrilled! We we first welcomed Drew and Ellie back in 2011 (or maybe 2010?) before they even had children, and now we are lucky enough to have the whole family join us during Main Camp for one of our summer concerts.

Ellie is doing so many cool things right now, and our Greystone crew is BIG fans of all things Ellie. Her newest CD Canyon was played on repeat this summer. If you don’t have her CD yet, what are you waiting for? We are also eagerly anticipating the release of her newest devotional book Fighting Words [and hint to the people who actually read the blog: we’ve got some fun Greystone-connected things to come with Ellie’s new book!].

The Business

If you’re looking for a GREAT wedding band, look no further. The Business is incredible! They have played for many Greystone weddings and never disappoint. If you love dancing to fun, singable songs, you’re bound to love The Business as much as we do.

Usually, The Business joins us for our Corn Roast event, but this year, we snagged them for a Sunday concert (and I’m not sure we can ever go back!). To see all 650 of our camp community on their feet singing and dancing (and maybe even a few crowd surfers too) – it was epic. Joining us for our final concert of the summer, they surely brought the house down with their great sound.

We absolutely LOVED our concerts this year and are already counting down to next summer. Press play on the Spotify link below to relive all your best concert memeories today, and make sure to let us know who you think we should invite for Summer 2022!
