After missing last summer due to the pandemic, we are more eager and excited than ever to be opening our gates for Summer 2021! It is going to be the very best, and we are counting down the days until we are all back in Tuxedo again.

As you know, prayer is a big deal at camp, and we spend a lot of time praying as a camp community each summer (at Morning Assembly, before meals, during nightly devotions, and more). We also spend a lot of time praying BEFORE camp even starts, and we are hoping you will join us this spring! Our Head Staff team spends hours praying over the littlest details of the summer; before we talk about something, we pray about it, and it makes all the difference. Why not pray along with us as we anticipate the amazing summer to come?

Below you’ll find a simple list of five different categories that you can use to pray alongside us. You can pray for one category a month, or pray for all of the things every month. Feel free to add your own camp prayers to your list as well! Prayer is powerful, and we’d love to join together a LARGE group of amazing camp friends to pray over Greystone this spring. Pray with us!

Campers

  • For girls to love their cabin, their cabinmates, and their counselors, making a great friend quickly after arriving.
  • That our campers will feel freedom to be themselves and will know that they are loved.
  • For new campers, who will be experiencing camp for the very first time!
  • For anxiety to be eased as girls arrive and settle in to camp after missing camp last year.
  • For girls to embrace and live out unselfishness at camp, learning the joy of putting others before themselves.
  • That this summer will be life changing in each and every camper’s life!

Staff

  • For our staff arrival and training: that our counselors will be excited, attentive, and have so much fun as they acclimate to their summer job.
  • For staff to feel confident in what they are doing and their role at camp.
  • For relationships to form quickly and naturally between our campers and staff.
  • For endurance and enthusiasm to be in abundance all summer.
  • For our counselors to feel loved and known by God.
  • That our staff will gel as a group and absolutely love working together!

Fun

  • That our campers can be carefree and will have a great time!
  • For our activities to be engaging, exciting, and just plain awesome.
  • For our campers and staff to feel like young kids again, finding joy in the simplest of things.
  • That our programs and events can excite and delight in unexpected ways.
  • For smiles and laughs to be contagious and overflowing each and every day.

Health and Safety

  • For campers and staff to come to camp healthy and stay healthy all summer.
  • For COVID to not be a significant issue and to have no outbreaks at camp.
  • That girls will feel strong and healthy throughout the summer, and that we avoid any other illnesses that could spread throughout camp.
  • For our Health Hut doctors and nurses as they lead camp during this different summer.
  • That camp will be safe and protected, covered by God’s gracious goodness.

God to be Real

  • For girls to know that God loves them and that they are precious in His sight.
  • That our staff’s nightly devotions will be engaging and will open up opportunities for the girls to learn more about their relationship with the Lord.
  • For our Morning Assembly devotions to be fun and insightful.
  • For our Church services to be honoring of the Lord and a way for us to gather for meaningful worship.
  • That the girls will see and feel the very presence of God at Greystone.
  • For camp to glorify God in all that we do!
