Junior Camp Closing Day
Today is Closing Day for Junior Camp 2020! For all of you who would have just finished your first ever session at Greystone, you would be anxiously waiting for your parents to arrive. You would be SO excited to tell them about your adventures, your new friends, your great counselor, and your favorite activities, and to sing camp songs all the way home! And your parents would have immediately noticed how “grown up” you had become in just one week away from home!
This year Closing Day is a little different as you are already home. We hope that The Camp Connection gave you a tiny taste of what goes on at camp!
You saw us singing in the Dining Hall. You got a lot of great recipes to try out this summer. You learned some neat new skills. You earned points for your team on Challenge Day and throughout the week. You sent us amazing pictures of you doing camp at home! You grew in your spiritual life with inspiring devotions, and maybe you memorized our theme verse! We WISH that you could have been at camp with us, but we are thankful that we got to spend time with you online!
Your Camp Connection page will stay up all summer, so come back to it whenever you need a little taste of the bubble. It’s a great way to get excited for next year!
Now the countdown is on for next year! (365 days, and we’re counting!) We cannot wait to see so many of you at Junior Camp or our longer sessions. Your session may be over for now, but you are still our campers, and our door (and phone!) is always open to you. Contact us any time, or stop by camp for a visit. We would love to hear from you!
As for next year, we know Junior Camp will fill up QUICKLY. Have a friend who you think would love Greystone? Share The Camp Connection with her, or invite her to come take a tour. We love our new campers, so spread the word!
We are carrying on the tradition of announcing the winning team at the very very end of Banquet night. We hope you enjoyed earning points for your team. Without further ado, I am pleased to announce the winning team for Junior’s Camp Connection Odds/Even Challenge is THE ODDS! Rah for Odds!!
