Merry Christmas!

I am sure many of you awoke early this morning to see what Santa put under the tree. I am sure you have enjoyed your Christmas traditions and are now in a post-celebration daze. Thank you for including us in your thoughts during this joyous day, we have been thinking of you as well.

We think of the way you brighten a room with your smiles and your laughter. We think of how kind you are and how you make every group better because of your wonderful attitude. We think of how grateful you are for every little thing and how you always show that gratitude in such a genuine way. Most of all we think of how incredible it will be to welcome you back to camp this summer.

So on this very happy day, we hope you will remember the lessons of camp and integrate those lessons into your home. Might I suggest:

  1. Saying thank you to each and every person in your home. Thank them not only for the presents but also for what they do throughout the year. They love you very much and when you say thank you it makes them happy!
  2. Helping out around the house. This could mean loading (or unloading) the dishwasher, taking out the trash, feeding the dog, or watering the Christmas tree. A little help is really appreciated and makes you shine brightly!
  3. Taking a moment to pray. Remember whose birthday we are celebrating and take a moment to thank Him for the gift of life and love.

We love you and miss you and can’t wait to see you again!
