Banquet Day Junior Camp

We are rejoicing today…..SUNSHINE!!!! A BIG day of FUN is planned for your campers! We are starting out with classes 1st - 3rd periods. Then the girls will go back to their cabins to change into their Carnival tee shirts. At 12:00 they will head to the main road for a BBQ picnic lunch with their cabin groups.

At 12:45 sharp, the Carnival will start. There will be inflatables, special carnival food: funnel cakes, cotton candy, grilled cheese sandwiches, decorate your cookie station, and dancing! It is such a fun time together and we are all looking forward to it (especially after a 2 day delay)!

After carnival and rest hour, we will pack to go home. Flag will blow at 5:45, and we will then transition to our final meal and Banquet! The counselors have been working on this big secret since our time together in training. They will present a skit and songs, then we will feast in the dining hall. It is a grand celebration to mark the end of our session together. Each girl will receive a Green & Gold address book with all of the names and addresses of the girls in camp…hopefully they will write all of their new found friends as soon as they get home!

Tomorrow morning is pick up and will start at 7:30 am. The ground is still wet and muddy so rain boots might be a good thing! The girls will be waiting for you in their cabins…when I announced this morning that today was the last day of camp, the whole dining hall erupted in a very loud noooooo. They WILL be excited to see you, but don’t be surprised if they say that they want to stay longer!

We have had such fun, and we hate to see these sweet campers leave!! Early Bird enrollment will take place in August, and you will receive an email about this process. We hope to see each and every one of you back next summer!
