Sunday at Junior Camp

Program Presentation last night was a huge hit!! The girls went to bed at 9:15. All were tired and ready for a good night’s sleep!

Sunday at Greystone is usually a slower day of camp, but at Junior Camp it is our first full day of camp, so we don’t want to slow it down at all! We do, however, have Church & Worship in the pavilion. This morning, my brother Jimboy gave our message on Unselfishness & Thankfulness which we encourage every camper to practice while they are at camp…hopefully you will see these traits in YOUR camper when she returns home!

Ready for Challenge Day - GO ODDS & EVENS!!!

Food at Greystone is exceptional….this morning we had our traditional opening morning breakfast of Cereal, Fruit Bar, Oatmeal, Homemade biscuits, ham, apples, and cheese grits. It is a favorite for everyone at camp, with another favorite Taco in a Bag on the menu for supper tonight! We make all of our own bread, cookies, and meals from scratch….we feed over 500 people per meal at this session, with Gervais Hollowell, Alli Kilby & their staff doing a GREAT job.

This morning, the girls are doing their class rotations with their counselors. This afternoon is CHALLENGE DAY!!! The Odds (green team with odd number cabins) VS the Evens (the gold team with even number cabins) will compete in relays and fun games for points for their teams. The evening program will be Minute to Win It with the cabin counselors competing against each other for points for their cabins….FUN!!

Having a GREAT DAY at Greystone!!

We are having a GREAT day at camp with the weather mild today and drizzle of rain right now. Rain never stops camp…in fact I am hearing the squeals of delight from campers at the water park right now! We love having your girls with us for this session!

I will check in again tomorrow, but in the meantime, be sure to check out all of the great pictures that our photographers are taking of the girls!
