Sunday

Oh what a beautiful morning!

SUNNY
WARM
HUMID
NOT A BREATH OF WIND

And we HAD TO run 3 miles in this?

Well, about 150 girls decided that this would be a good day to sit it out and just relax in the cabin when Stumblers gathered at 8:00. Pretty smart in my book (you can skip one run and still get your shirt next Sunday). So it was only the True Believers who gathered for the fun and the fellowship of our third Stumblers. We have about 250 such individuals, a very good number on such a day!

It turned out to be a lot of fun. Most of the girls chose to walk, I would have too except Laura tells me I need to set an example. This little running club teaches lessons just like everything at camp. This one has to do with self control and discipline. Very few people run because they like it, they do it for the benefits that running provides. When the campers see me, they KNOW that they can do it too!

It promises to be a nice day. Repeat of yesterday, which should make for a GREAT concert this evening. Dave Barnes is coming to Greystone again! I still remember Dave coming to camp about 7 years ago, way before he was famous (I hear him on the “Coffee House” channel on XM radio all the time now). He is very funny and a wonderful artist… he will do a great concert by the lake.

Sunday School, Church, Lunch, Rest Hour await. It is a GREAT DAY!
