Opening Day Junior Camp

What a beautiful opening morning today! We LOVED welcoming you to the starting session of Greystone 2014! The weather held out right through lunch, and at rest hour we had the nicest light rain. The girls were exhausted from their morning, and glad for the rest!

Right now everyone is in classes, and I hear excited screams of delight as the campers play in Water Park, and cheer in the Shepherd’s gazebo.I hope that you all got to stop by the Opening Day reception and try out the Greystone Kitchen scones! They are famous and a tradition for every opening day at Greystone. We think the food at camp is wonderful and our lunch of chicken tenders, French fries (oven baked), roasted green beans, salad bar and pudding for dessert hit the spot. After rest time today, the girls got to go to Shoppe where they had a selection of Oreo’s, frozen lemonade bars, or Cheese It’s for a snack.

Every day, I will be writing to tell you about what is going on at Junior camp. I will tell you about the weather, the food, and the activities that your campers are doing. We have some new and exciting things for this session, starting with a brand new evening program tonight, which I will tell you about tomorrow. It is going to be FUN!

Your girls are precious and have been perfect Greystone campers so far. They have had great manners in our opening assembly, in the Dining Hall and around the campus. We are so happy to have them here to share camp with us…. they add so much and we love every minute with these little ones! Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions this week. My email is Katie@campgreystone.com, and the office number 828-693-3182. We are expecting a wonderful session together.

Have a GREAT day, Katie
