What a lovely session. Perfectly delightful in every way… thank you Main Campers!

I am writing this update in the midst of transition… You are leaving and that fact will change camp, it is a sad moment and a happy moment. Hard to filter all this emotion but the answer for me is the answer I gave you yesterday: to be thankful. Things that I am thankful for at this moment:

• The full moon that is high in the blue sky… a beautiful closing day.
• The warm weather… summer is wonderful, maybe the Miller clan will enjoy Putt Cove this afternoon.
• A healthy summer… the Health Hut has never had a more healthy camp (Praise the LORD).
• A happy summer… despite rain, your smiles marked each and every day.
• Good food… I have never eaten better than I have this past month.
• A wonderful banquet… wasn’t it delightful?
• A full heart… My heart is full, enough said.
• A break… I am tired (we all are); can’t wait to take a few long naps!
• A wonderful camp… the group (campers and counselors) has been special.

I don’t know what to put on my “Rejoice” calendar today, but will probably just say “good endings”. To finish a camp session well is a delight, this year seems to just be over the top. Thank you for finishing well Greystone Girls. You have run a good race and made this place shine. The days we shared have made strong impressions in my memory. 2013… a summer to remember.
