Each cabin has 8 to 10 campers (4 or 5 bunks) and a counselor. These girls become family over the days and weeks that comprise each session, and most do not know each other before camp begins (you can only request one cabin mate). Imagine the excitement of so many new friends from so many different places (over 35 states and 12 countries are represented each summer). Cabin life is amazing!
All of the Greystone cabins are wonderful in every way. The bunk beds are custom built by our very own carpenters to give the ultimate bunk bed experience (individual trunk sized drawers, shelves built into the mattress area, a nice headboard and footboard area for putting pictures and stuffed animals). The bathrooms have every convenience of home (tiled floors, large showers, “power flush” toilets that never clog, double sinks, cast iron hooks for towels, shelves for shower buckets, and endless hot water from tankless water heaters that never run out of hot water). The porches have lovely pealed bark log post and picket railings. The roofs are all red painted metal roofs that sound divine in a rain storm.
