9 years as a camper

2nd year on staff

Hellooooo Greystone Girls! My name is Virginia French, I am from Atlanta, GA, I am going to be a Junior at Davidson College (WOW), and I cannot wait to be back in the bubble for my eleventh summer. Camp is my little slice of Heaven and my miracle in the mountains, and there is nowhere else I would rather be. I met my best friends, rooted in Christ, at camp, and I cannot wait to continue this tradition and many more with y’all. Let’s do this thing!

“Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” 1st Corinthians 13:4-8

Personal Interests: Smiling and laughing with friends and families, belting show-tunes, sweating it out in a spin class, the Atlanta Braves, and ice cream every night for dessert

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… Call my sweet mama or my twin brother and take a walk

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I am the loudest extrovert in the room but all of my best friends are introverts

The one thing that makes any day better: Lanier Gordon :)

Best camp tradition? Everything about Sundays at camp

Favorite Evening Program? Senior play, DUH!

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… CHEESY CHICKEN!!!

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: My green tinker bell dress. RAH FOR ODDS, baby!!!

My go-to pump up song: Beautiful Life by The Collection

The best book I’ve read this year: Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult

My guilty pleasure: Pink drinks from Starbucks

I wanted to work at Greystone because… There is nothing I love more than loving on sweet Greystone girls as my counselors did for me. I cannot imagine a better job centered around Christ and loving others as Christ loves us. I just can’t stay away!

The best thing about camp will be… The opening day tackle hugs and the many memories to come
