1st year on staff

Hey y’all! I’m Gaby Voyles and I’m a sophomore at Samford University where I am studying to be a nurse. I’m from Franklin, TN (just south of Nashville) and have one older brother named Matthew who lives in Greenville. I’m so excited to make lots of new camp friends and explore this place I’ve heard so much about!

“The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:5-11

Personal Interests: Cooking / baking, reading, tennis, taking hikes with friends, hosting dinner parties, organizing my Pinterest boards, bullet journalling, and calligraphy.

When I have an hour of free time, I like to… read a good book or talk with a friend

Something you wouldn’t guess about me: I play the oboe :)

The emoji that describes me: I don’t really use emojis, but I like memojis, and I like the one that is my face with the 3 hearts around it.

The one thing that makes any day better: a glass of sweet tea

The camp food I can’t wait to eat is… the famous Greystone bread I’ve heard so much about!

Item that I MUST bring to Camp with me: a journal for my thoughts.

My go-to pump up song: Classic by MKTO

The best book I’ve read this year: Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz

My guilty pleasure: Fresh whipped cream and strawberries

The most famous person I’ve met is… Luke Bryan

My favorite cheesy joke: Why does a chicken coop have 2 doors? Because if it had 4, it would be called a chicken sedan!

I wanted to work at Greystone because… I’ve heard so much about this wonderful place and I want to experience it - and be a part of helping continue it for others.

The best thing about camp will be… getting to know everyone!
