We provide a top class instructional facility at Camp Greystone, with training similar to that of the United States Pony Club (USPC). Our riding philosophy is to teach a good solid foundation, correct balance, position, control, and good horsemanship. Each camper has a specially designed program to suit her needs throughout her camp session, where she will work through passing levels by showing improvement on skills and knowledge.
Each summer, our staff consists of 20 members that have a strong emphasis on teamwork. You will each take on different roles throughout the day, and everyone will be collectively responsible for the daily barn chores and running of the facility.
Who
We are seeking college-aged women for our all-girls Equestrian Program at Camp Greystone. Here are some qualities in applicants that we are looking for:
- Safe individuals who will set a good example to our campers
- Fun and outgoing personalities
- Ability to listen and follow direction
- Hard workers as this job is physically demanding
- Positive attitudes
- Works well with others
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a summer job who wants to learn and gain more experience in the equine industry. Our full-time staff strive for all positions to be "learning positions" and enjoy teaching those who want to learn about horse care, basic equine first aide, working with children and horses, and anything else that we encounter over the summer.
