Write Your Penpal

Penpals are a wonderful camp tradition!

In the springtime you will receive a card with the name of your daughter’s Penpal, a camper coming to her same session and in her same grade. Please encourage your daughter to write her Penpal; you can imagine how disappointing it is when a Penpal does not write. If you would like for your daugther’s Penpal to be in her cabin, make sure to request it on her Cabin Request form (available in early spring); we do not automatically put Penpals in the same cabin.

In your daughter’s letter to her Penpal, it is nice for her to share a little about your family, some pictures, what she is looking forward to at camp, and more! If you have not heard from your Penpal, try writing a 2nd time. This usually does the trick!

In addition to a Penpal, all 3rd and 4th graders at Main Camp will receive a “Big Sister” before camp. A “Big Sister” is a fun older camper that your daughter will love getting to know.
