We do keep a supply of hats and boots for the girls to use. We recommend that you invest in your own equipment. Your own equipment guarantees a correct fit and maximum hygiene.

Girls must wear long pants and breeches are always the best choice. Most girls do bring their own chaps and we encourage girls of all levels and ages to invest in a pair. Gloves are very important to wear while riding and are very inexpensive to buy. Back protectors / vests ensure each rider has the maximum safety.

If you require your daughter to wear a safety belt when in the car then you should seriously think of buying her a vest / back protector. Riders of all levels and ages should wear a vest / back protector.

Back protectors and personal safety equipment are mandatory for girls riding in the higher-level classes (guidelines 6, 7, and 8) or our eventing program.

Helmets, chaps and gloves will be available for purchase at the barn on opening day. Other items can be purchased from the Greystone Riding Director in advance. Please call Justine Tibbles at 828-693-4761.
