Hey everyone! Being a Greystone Counselor has honestly been my DREAM job since I was a camper for 2 years! I am so excited to be in the camp environment again, meet and grow with lots of great girls, and develop our faith together! I am so excited about this summer and returning to Camp Greystone!! Tuxedo, NC is my second home and the most beautiful place on Earth. This will be my third summer on staff as I have worked 2009 and 2010 summers. Let's just say that the 2011 summer was incomplete without Greystone. My name is David Vining, and I teach and coach during the year in Chattanooga, TN at the McCallie School, an all boys prep school. I go from working with all boys during the school year to all girls during the summer. I am married to my wife, Beth, and she is also a school teacher and has three children, Haley, Caden and Whitney. I have worked in the tennis program at Camp Greystone since 1983, and it is true that camp gets better and better each year. It is an honor to work in such a wonderful Christian environment with excellent facilities and amazing campers and counselors located in a post card setting.

Married for 52 years, Husband now with the Lord. Ashmore family consists of 3 children, 11 Grandchilren. All 3 children have been invovled at Camp Greystone at different times in their lives. Seven Grandchildren have been a part of Camp, either working in the kitchen, maintenance or a camper. Still more to come!!!!!

Hi! I am so excited about Summer 2012. It will be my 18th summer at Greystone. I love camp for so many reasons. Over the years it has changed from being a counselor & teaching classes to helping to put together a fabulous team that is ready to shine the light of Christ for campers to see! I still love helping in activities. During Family Camp and the Reunion I teach classes and it makes me so happy!

This will be my third summer teaching Painting and Drawing at Greystone. We have always have lot of fun experimenting with techniques . This summer we are we will explore a new approach to mixing colors in "The Color of Camp" project. We also will make a '"Favorite Things" mixed media along, with flowers and landscape projects. Get into the Paint campers!
