What's Happening

Shocking how fast some of these carpenters work!

We tore down the gazebo by the big Riding Ring last week, and this week the new gazebo is already taking shape. I worked in the office all day yesterday, only getting out for a “check up” today… I was so surprised to see the gazebo!

The Vic (Kitchen Staff boys house) is a show stopper too. Every time I see it I am struck by how beautiful that old building is becoming… all of Tuxedo is celebrating the renovation!

The White House (Sarah, Wyatt, and Rob’s new house) is turning out to be a real jewel as well. It is really small, looks out over the new Vic and surrounding woodland park… two bedrooms, one bath, 700 square feet (that is very small for a house). It is so cute I might ask Margaret if we can retire there!

The dining hall porch is progressing nicely. It should be fixed in the next week or so. Not many will notice the change, but it is really nice work.

Paving is now complete… not that nice, but necessary.

OH… Helen and Anamieka stopped me while I was walking and asked if they could get a new horse. Of course I said yes! It is a Conamera pony (they are grey Irish ponies that we just love… we have two now and always are looking for more). It is currently just north of Charleston, we will pick it up soon! Price: $6,000. Not a bad deal for one of these fine ponies.

Am I giving you too much information?
