Friday Closing Information

I can hear thunder off in the distance, so we have the girls staying in the cabins a little longer than usual while afternoon storms pass by us. No rain yet…but the temperatures have dropped a good bit which is very nice! The girls spent rest hour packing and organizing their things for tomorrow departure.

This is how closing day at Junior Camp works. Campers will have a breakfast Banquet starting at 8:30 AM. From that time on, parents will be allowed to come into camp (the same way you did on opening day) and start packing up your cars. The large items that were delivered for you on opening day will also be delivered to the soccer field and people will be available to help you find and load those bags. Please look at the tags on the bags, and make sure that you get every bag (sometimes there might be one more bag than what was delivered on opening day). After you have loaded your car, you may go to your daughter’s cabin to get her “loose items” from her bed, and load those into your car as well. Please do not come to the Dining Hall area as we will be in our banquet. We will be offering coffee at the Shepherd’s Gazebo on the Pageant Court by the flag pole for any of you who would like to visit while you are waiting for your camper!

At 10 AM, we will dismiss the girls from the banquet, and send them back to their cabins, where you may then pick them up to take them home. Remember to SIGN YOUR CAMPER OUT with her counselor. If you have any questions that you would like to ask your daughter’s counselor about her camp experience, please feel free to ask.

Today for lunch we had yummy Mac & Cheese, Ham, Salad Bar, Fresh Baked Bread, sliced peaches, and home made Rice Krispy Treats for dessert. Can’t WAIT for the camper talent show tonight!!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me Katie@campgreystone.com ! We have had the BEST session, and are still having FUN!!

"The junior campers are SO cute...I remember my daughters first time to Greystone as a Junior camper...she was so aprehensive of the new experience on opening day...but, wanted to stay for the rest of the summer when I came to pick her up! Now she is one of the "older girls" at Main! Only 23 more days..."
