Camp Greystone is accredited by the American Camp Association.
Greystone is a camp that welcomes both churched and the un-churched families. We are committed to doing our work for God’s glory and as Christians our faith enters into our daily lives in a natural way. While not “preaching” to the girls, we do model Christ in our routine daily living and thus provide the perfect community. Campers choose Greystone because we are the best camp… we are the best camp because of the love we share for each other because of Christ.
We perform crazy skits, play fun games, teach great skills, have huge pillow fights, go on adventure/rafting trips and sing camp songs. But mostly, we spend time with the campers. We meet them where they are, getting to know them and having fun enjoying camp with them… all while acknowledging the love of Christ for us all.
As Christians, we always respect the families of our non-Christian campers with different religious views. While our beliefs may differ from theirs, our purpose as a camp and as counselors is to show the love of Christ and do our jobs well. Read Matthew 5:14-16.
We participate in a relational ministry that starts with our staff (optional small group meetings and staff bible studies along with lots of great hang out time at night) and carries into the camp program. We want to see Christ through you… Your life is what the campers will want to emulate. The thought that God uses us to impact young lives is both humbling and exhilarating.
There are two reasons why Greystone is different.
- Our terms are 5 days to 5 weeks long. Typically, you have a whole week to break the ice and get comfortable, Then anywhere from one week to four more weeks to establish a meaningful relationship with that child.
- The girls don't always come to camp expecting to see Jesus, but when here they often see Him through us!
