WEEKLY UPDATE
I TOOK A WALK
Hello friends! I am getting so excited for this summer! I can not believe it is almost here. I know you all are working hard in school to make the best grades you can. Here at Camp we are working on planning the best summer we can! Jimboy and the rest of the year-round team are getting so excited for our campers & counselors to get here!
I got a call from "Nature Joe" a couple of days ago to go down to the barn at the Nature Center to see what was BRAND NEW. So this is what & who I saw when I was on my way.
First, I ran up the stairs camera in hand and saw Carolyn "the knitting queen" and Peter "the fishing king" Davis with Jimboy. I asked them to smile for the camera & they were happy to. I know those of you that learned to knit & fish last year are so excited to get back here and advance in your skills!
Next, I went down the lower road. I could hear banging coming from the Dining Hall. There is an addition being added & it is not a porch. Let's see if you can guess, I will give you two hints. #1 - It is a fairly new addition to our meals at camp. #2 - When you go to the Fountain of Youth you are very close to it. Those are the only hints. Post your guesses in Kelly's Corner of the Grey Café ,under Guesses.
The trees are starting to bud & leaves are on many of them. In fact, you can see pollen blowing around in big clouds. I thought it was saw dust at first. Crazy isn't it?
As I continued to walk down the Lower Road, I came past the Pavilion (the pit is all refinished & shiny :) and looked out at the track and a riding ring and thought it was a great picture of the Spring at Greystone. So green.
Now I am further down the road & I am on my way to the Nature Center. But first, I want you to see that the Basketball court got an new surface. I wanted you to see it closely, check it out!
I laid down and took this photo from the closest I could get to the black top. Ha ha!
This is a better photo of the court. Anyone think they got game?
So now I am finally to the Nature Center.
I go to the barn.
Look what I found. Now wait, I think I heard that there were more eggs than this. Hold on I hear something!
It is coming from over here.
How cute are these little chicks?
I think you need a close up!
They are very soft! I will try to keep taking photos of them as they grow.
As usual I must show you how big the pigs are!
Here is a silly photo of a Greystone Emu!
Have a great day girls!
