We Miss You!
It is hard to believe our 97th summer has come to an end. Things are slow at camp this week; many of us are taking some much needed rest and relaxation. Camp is so very quiet! It is so strange going from the fast-paced life of camp to an empty camp in a matter of hours. We definitely miss you girls.
As we are thinking back on the summer, it is amazing what all we enjoyed together:
- 273 counselors working as counselors in cabin, program, down at the barn, or as nurses in the Health Hut
- 1510 total campers enjoying Breakfast Club, sleeping in a cabin, and dancing at Morning Assembly
- 1493 total homemade pizzas made by our hardworking kitchen crew
- 9 amazing days of Mini Talent Show performances
- 3246 devotions given throughout the summer
- 1 jazz class with Jimboy as a main participant
- 32000 total Stumblers laps completed as you “paid the price for the promise of the prize”
- 600 pounds of color powder used for our Protect Your Counselor event
- 712 cans of shaving cream enjoyed at our Jimboylmpiad camp-wide shaving cream fight
- 622 campers and counselors dressed as dogs to beat a Guinness World Record
- 6 wonderful Sleep Late Friday mornings
- 7027 giveaway t-shirts given to campers this summer
- 4 inches of water falling in one hour at both Would You Rather and June Carnival
- 720 ounces of liquid color used to spray your Senior during Seniorpalooza
- 5 sleep-less Overnights at Thunderhead
- 19536 tables set by our amazing Table Girls
- 191 cabin Lip Sync performances on stage
- 2200 donut holes eaten at our nighttime Morning Assembly during Main Camp
Just looking back at this huge list reminds me of so many great memories we enjoyed this year. It was definitely a summer for the record books, and one that we were so sad to see end. We miss you Greystone girls..only 282 days until we see you again!!
